In Appreciation

Submitted by admin on Wed, 2006-11-08 23:42.

The campaign of 2006 is now over.

I would like to thank the 51,833 voters who took the effort to choose me as their representative. I would have been proud to serve as your voice in Washington D.C..

I would like to extend my greatest respect to all of the people running on the Democratic ticket this year. I have never known a better slate of candidates and feel incredibly honored to be included in your company.

Congratulations to all of the wonderful judges we now have in Dallas county. This is a well deserved victory for some very hard-working folks.

Speaking of hard-working folks, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Mid-Cities Democrats and CGS Democratic clubs. Mark my words, they will change Tarrant County to blue in the near future!

And my sincerest thanks to the many people who believed in me and supported my campaign during the time I needed it most. Carol, Faye, Bob, Russ, Chris, Tim, Scott, Amy are just some of the names on a list that every potential candidate would like to have access to.

This election was not a loss. I firmly believe in the concept that democracy requires valid choices on the ballot. I further believe that we gave the voters an opportunity to change our country, which was taken advantage of in many other races across the nation. We should believe in our Democratic values and let our voices be heard through candidates running in every race on every ballot. This is our country as well and we need to start investing in our future and our freedom. Or we lose it.

Democracy is about choice. Let's make the right one.
